La scène du revers s’inspire de l’épisode relaté en Luc 5:3.
Pie X, né Giuseppe Melchiorre Sarto à Riese en Vénétie (alors dans le royaume de Lombardie-Vénétie, maintenant Riese Pie X, dans la province de Trévise, en Italie) le 2 juin 1835, mort le 20 août 1914 à Rome, pape du 4 août 1903 à sa mort. Il a été béatifié le 3 juin 1951, puis canonisé le 29 mai 1954 : il est donc saint Pie X pour les catholiques..
