Historical background

VASCONES - ARSAOS (Province of Navarre)

(2nd century BC)

The territory of the Vascons extended over the current Basque Country and Navarre including the city of Zaragoza. The coins with the legend Arsaos were minted in the territory of present-day Navarre without being able to determine the precise location of the mint.
