Flan aux bords irréguliers, bien centré. Joli buste fin et détaillé au droit. Revers un peu plus usé. Patine marron foncé

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Valentinien Ier à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A’a) ; diadème perlé.
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Valentinianus Pius Felix Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Valentinien pieux et heureux auguste).
Reverse
Reverse legend : SECVRITAS - REIPVBLICAE/ -|-/ SM(COEUR)RB.
Reverse description : Victoria (la Victoire) marchant à gauche, tenant une couronne de la main droite et une palme de la gauche.
Reverse translation : “Securitas Reipublicæ”, (La Sécurité de la république).

Valentinian, proclaimed on February 25, 364, joined his brother Valens on August 24 of the same year. They share the Empire, Valentinian reserving the West. In 367, the Emperor named Augustus his son Gratian. Valentinian died on November 17, 375, leaving the West in great danger.
