Monnaie sur un flan légèrement irrégulier mais bien centré. Patine vert foncé. Très beau buste de Valentinien Ier avec les détails de la chevelure bien visibles

Reverse description : Valentinien Ier debout à droite, tournant la tête à gauche, vêtu militairement, tenant de la main gauche le labarum chrismé et de la droite, un captif agenouillé.
Reverse translation : “Gloria Romanorum”, (La gloire des Romains).

Poids léger. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges fines. Cabochon carré gemmé. Fibule ronde.

VALENTINIAN I

(02/25/364-11/17/375)

Valentinian, proclaimed on February 25, 364, joined his brother Valens on August 24 of the same year. They share the Empire, Valentinian reserving the West. In 367, the Emperor named Augustus his son Gratian. Valentinian died on November 17, 375, leaving the West in great danger.
