Médaille en excellent état malgré un léger frottement au revers. Patine moderne, légèrement bronzée

Obverse description : Allégorie féminine drapée à l’antique entre une charrue et deux épis de blés avec une fleur de pavot.

Reverse

Reverse legend : LE PRÉFET / DE L’INDRE.

Reverse description : Légende en deux lignes dans une couronne de chêne et de lauriers.

Commentary

Le droit de cette médaille est l’oeuvre de Nicolas-Guy-Antoine Brenet (1773-1846). Il existe une médaille au même type, signée, frappée par la Monnaie de Paris entre 1845 et 1860, avec le poinçon main.
