Commentary
La médaille a été décernée à Jules Méline (1838-1925), homme politique français défenseur du monde agricole qui fut plusieurs ministre et président du Conseil (1896-1898). Il sera sénateur des Vosges de 1903 jusqu’à la date de son décès, en 1925. Il recevra cette médaille au début de son premier mandat. Il aura également été député des Vosges de 1876 à 1903.
The medal was awarded to Jules Méline (1838-1925), a French politician and champion of the agricultural sector who served as a minister and Prime Minister (1896-1898). He was a senator for the Vosges department from 1903 until his death in 1925. He received this medal at the beginning of his first term. He also served as a deputy for the Vosges from 1876 to 1903.
