Cette médaille présente de hauts reliefs et est recouverte d’une patine grise de médaillier. Des frottements au revers et une légère usure sur les hauts reliefs

Obverse legend : REPUBLIQUE -  FRANÇAISE.
Obverse description : La République assise le bras droite tenant une branche d’olivier passé au-dessus d’un lion, la main gauche reposant sur une urne portant l’inscription SUFFR[AGE] / UNIVERSEL ; en bas à gauche L. DESCHAMPS.

Reverse description : Faisceau de licteur reposant sur un drapeau et des feuilles de chêne sur un cartouche timbré du nom et du département du récipiendaire en deux lignes.
Commentary
Médaille attribuée en 1902 à Théodore, François Rose député du Pas-de-Calais. Il naquit le 10 février 1852 à Bailleuval (Pas-de-Calais) et décéda le 27 octobre 1917 à Paris. Il fut élu député sous la VIe léglisature, le 3 septembre 1893 sous l’étiquette de l’Union républicaine, puis réélu sous les VIIe, VIIIe et IXe législatures (8 mai 1898-31 mai 1910). Notaire, il fut également conseiller général du canton de Beaumetz-les-Loges.
