Reverse description : Cartouche rectangulaire inscrit BEAUNE / 1934, sur deux branches de lauriers et de chêne.

Commentary


Médaille signée L. CARIAT au droit et monogrammée LM au revers. Lucien Jean Henri Cariat (1824-1925). Il ne fait pas partie des grands noms du design de médailles, cependant il a créé beaucoup de belles conceptions au cours de sa carrière, dont un grand nombre a continué à être produites après sa mort ; c’est le cas de cette médaille utilisée près de 10 ans apr.
