Commentary
La médaille a été décernée à Joseph Denais (1877-1960), avocat. Il sera conseiller général de la Seine de 1908 à 1912, puis de 1919 à 1929. Il sera également député pour la Seine de 1911 à 1919, puis de 1928 à 1942 et de 1945 à 1955.
The medal was awarded to Joseph Denais (1877-1960), a lawyer. He served as a general councillor for the Seine department from 1908 to 1912, and again from 1919 to 1929. He also served as a deputy for the Seine from 1911 to 1919, from 1928 to 1942, and from 1945 to 1955.
