Obverse description : Tête barbue d’Hector de trois quarts de face à droite, coiffée du casque phrygien à triple aigrette, les paragnathides relevées.

Reverse description : Dionysos enfant agenouillé à droite, le bras gauche appuyé sur le sol et tenant de la main droite tendue, une grappe de raisin.

Reverse legend : OFRU.

Ophrynion was a small city located between Dardanos and Rhoeteium, famous for its sacred grove dedicated to Hector. It is the hero of the Trojan War, son of Priam, brother of Paris, struck down in single combat by Achilles who, after having killed him to avenge his friend Patroclus, dragged the body of the Trojan hero around the walls of the city..
