Historical background


THESSALY - KRANNON

(5th - 4th century BC).

Crannon was a wealthy city in Thessaly surrounded by the territories of Larissa and Scotussa. Its population was originally from Epirus. The city after having known for two centuries a great expansion then fell into a slow decline before disappearing after the Roman conquest.
