Flan légèrement décentré aux bords irréguliers. Buste agréable de Théodose au droit, et de très jolis détails au revers. Patine gris foncé

Obverse description : Buste casqué, drapé et cuirassé de Théodose III de face, tenant un globe crucigère de la main droite et l'akakia de la main gauche.
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Theodosius Perpetuus Anni”, (Notre seigneur Théodose pour de perpétuelles années).

Reverse legend : // AGTI.
Reverse description : Bustes de face de Maurice à gauche et Constantina à droite ; une grande croix au centre, et une petite croix de chaque côté dans le champ.
Reverse translation : “Augusti”, (L'auguste).

Theodosius is the son of Maurice Tiberius, and was also assassinated while trying to flee Constantinople. The coins minted in his name seem to date from the period of the joint reign with his father, and not from the chaotic period which followed the overthrow of Maurice Tiberius..
