Reverse description : Tyché assise à gauche sur un siège avec dossier, coiffé de la polos et drapée, tenant une Niké de la main droite tendue, couronnant le nom d’Antiochus ; un oiseau à ses pieds.

SYRIA - SELEUKID KINGDOM - ANTIOCHUS IV EPIPHANES
(175-164 BC)
Antiochus IV was the youngest son of Antiochus III. He had been sent to Rome as a hostage after the Peace of Apamea. He fought the Egyptians, ravaged the Temple of Jerusalem and won several victories over Ptolemy VI Philometor (180-145 BC).
