Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais bien centré, un peu court sur la légende de revers. Très belle tête au droit. Revers de style fin. Belle patine noire

Très beau style pour ce bronze élégant. Cette variante semble très rare et est décrite comme telle dans l’inventaire de la collection François Charrin.

(261-246 BC)
Antiochus II succeeded his father, Antiochus I (280-261 BC). Under his reign Parthia, Bactria and the kingdom of Pergamon were definitively lost. The struggle against the Egypt of Ptolemy II Philadelphus (285-246 BC) was continuous and the control of Syria and Cilicia was often questioned. Antiochus II possibly perishes assassinated.
