Fonte non signée mais probablement réalisée par Louis Nicolas Veillard (1788-1864).
Guillaume Henri Dufour (1787-1875) est un général, ingénieur, cartographe et homme politique suisse. Il fut Capitaine du génie dans la Grande Armée et Général en chef de l’armée confédérale et de l'armée suisse.

(since 1848)

Switzerland formed a Confederation in 1848. It adopted the Swiss Franc, aligned with the French Franc in 1850. It joined the Latin Union in December 1865. It remained neutral during the two world wars and later grew rich thanks to its banks.
