Monnaie sur un flan large, avec un droit de frappe un peu molle (coin usé ?) mais avec un revers très vigoureux sur sa partie supérieure, mais avec un plat de frappe sur sa partie inférieure. Une très légère gangue superficielle est à signaler au revers dans les creux

Reverse description : Cheval libre à encolure fourchue et à queue trifide galopant à droite ; au-dessus, restes de l'aurige, un œil au-dessus de la tête du cheval et une rangée de globules au-dessus de l'aurige, trois globules posés en triangle au-dessus de la queue et un œil au-dessous ; entre les pattes, rouelle à huit rayons avec gros moyeu central.

Suessiones (near Soissons)

(Second - first century BC)

The Suessiones were important people of the Belgians, stationed on the Aisne in the territory of the province of Soissons. They had to close the Remi, Lingones the Senonian, the Parisii, the Bellovaci and Ambiens. According to Caesar, the two peoples and Remi Suessiones before the Gallic War, had the same laws and the same leaders. They had to clients Meldi the Silvanectes and Viromanduens. Diviciacos, one of their kings reigned down on Britain. Galba, his successor, commanded coalition Belgians revolted in 57 BC with a contingent of fifty thousand men.
