Reverse description : Couronne de diverses cultures, vigne, olivier, blé, avec, sur le feuillage, une tête de bélier, de vache et de cheval ainsi qu'une charrue. Légende gravée en 6 lignes dans la couronne.

Commentary

La médaille a été décernée à Monsieur H. Bureau, berger chez Monsieur Benoit Salichet à Sarry, pour ses 24 années de service.
Olivier de Serres (1539-1619) est un agronome français, protestant actif et auteur d'un vaste traité, “le Théâtre d’Agriculture et mesnage des champs”. Il est considéré comme le père de l’agronomie française.
