L’Académie agricole, manufacturière et commerciale (fondée en 1830 et reconstituée en 1848 ) n’est pas à confondre avec l’Académie d’Agriculture de France qui est l’héritière de la société d’Agriculture de la Généralité de Paris, fondée en 1761 par Louis XV sur le rapport du Contrôleur général Henri Bertin, à une époque où il était devenu indispensable de développer l’agriculture en France en modernisant les techniques existantes.
Medal not awarded. The Agricultural, Manufacturing and Commercial Academy (founded in 1830 and reconstituted in 1848) should not be confused with the French Academy of Agriculture, which is the heir to the Agricultural Society of the Generality of Paris, founded in 1761 by Louis XV on the report of the Comptroller General Henri Bertin, at a time when it had become essential to develop agriculture in France by modernizing existing techniques.
