Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés. Portrait de toute beauté avec une trace de cassure de coin dans la chevelure. Une infime rayure sur le visage. Très joli revers, de style fin. Très jolie patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés et bleutés acier

Obverse description : Tête laurée d'Apollon à gauche.


Reverse legend : LEO -N-TI-N-ON.

(Fifth century BC)

Leontini was founded in 729 BC by Chalcidians Naxos. From 480 BC, the city fell under the rule of Gelon, tyrant of Syracuse, and is influenced by Gela. The city was liberated in 466 BC by establishing democracy. The city was overwhelmed by Syracuse in 422 BC.
