Sicily - Gela

(Fifth century BC)

Gela was founded in 688 BC by colonists from Rhodes and Crete. Coinage began to 498 BC under the tyranny of Kleander (505-498 AC.) Or Hippocrates (498-491 AC.), Gelo (491/490-486/485 AC.)
