Exemplaire sur un flan court parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Nous avons sans aucun doute affaire à une imitation mais le métal est d’un aloi excellent ! Patine grise

Obverse translation : “Divo Severo Pio”, (Au divin Sévère pieux).

Reverse description : Aigle debout à droite sur un autel enguirlandé (cippe), les ailes repliées, tournant la tête à gauche.
Reverse translation : “Consecratio”, (Consécration).

Commentary


Ce type de denier est de loin le plus rare des types de consécration restitués par Caracalla et Géta. P. V. Hill le classe (R4) d’après la liste de trésors (26) dressés par l’auteur correspondant seulement à un exemplaire recensé.
This type of denarius is by far the rarest of the types of consecration restored by Caracalla and Geta. PV Hill classifies it (R4) according to the list of treasures (26) drawn up by the author corresponding only to one identified example
