Commentary
Un denier de ce type était présent dans le dépôt monétaire de Bais (Ille-et-Vilaine) (RN 1907, pl. XV, n° 275) et a fait l’objet d’imitations dont un exemplaire a été trouvé à Dombourg (Nouvelle-Zélande) (cf. J. Lafaurie, “Deniers du VIIIe siècle de Saint-Ouen de Rouen”, RN, 1980, n° 13, pl. VIII). Jean Lafaurie propose de lire avec réserve le nom d’Idoinus. Son style place ce denier à mi-chemin entre le denier de Bais et celui de Dombourg.
