Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés, le flan légèrement voilé avec les grènetis visibles. Beau portrait de Rome. Joli revers à l’usure régulière. Patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés et bleutés

Reverse description : Les Dioscures, Castor et Pollux (Les Gémeaux) à cheval, galopant à droite. Ils sont cuirassés avec le manteau flottant sur l'épaule, coiffés d'un bonnet surmonté d'une étoile, tenant chacun une javeline.
Reverse translation : “Caius Scribonius”, (Caius Scribonius).

SCRIBONIA

(154 BC)

Caius Scribonius, whose career is not otherwise known, was possibly the son of Caius Scribonius Curio who was aedile in 196 BC, praetor in 193 and curio maximus, religious office, in 174 BC .-C. Marseilles asked for help from Rome against the Ligurians and that year began the war against the Lusitanians. It was to last until 138 BC. In 154 BC (AUC, ab Urbe Condita, 600), Quintus Opimius and Lucius Postumius Albinus were consuls.
