SAVOY - COUNTY OF SAVOY - AMADEUS V

(1285-10/16/1323)

Amédée was born in 1252 from the union of Thomas II, Count of Flanders and Lord of Piedmont and Béatrice Fischi, niece of Pope Innocent IV. In 1272 he married Sibille, daughter of Gui de Baugé and in 1285 he succeeded his father. He married secondly, in 1304, Marie de Brabant. He died in Avignon on October 16, 1323.
