Historical background


(Seventh - eighth century)

The Sanctii Maxentii is ienifié Mr. Prou ​​Saint Maixent district of Niort in the Deux-Sèvres. The town developed around the monastery founded in 459 by the monk Oratorian Agapit, joined by 480 Adjutor which then took the name of Maixent.
