Très populaire et pratiqué depuis au moins un siècle, le Gorodki fait quelquefois référence à des jeux un peu différent, selon les régions dans lesquels il est joué.
Les gorodki sont des cylindres en bois d’une vingtaine de centimètres de longueur, qui sont disposés au sol selon des figures codifiées, et qu’il faudra éjecter à l’aide de bâton d’une soixantaine de centimètres de longueur.
Le but du jeu est de pouvoir disloquer le plus rapidement une série de ces figures..

The February Revolution of 1917 put an end to the regime of the tsars of Russia. The Russian Republic was overthrown by the Bolsheviks in October 1917. On December 30, 1922, the treaty relating to the formation of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was signed. Although having a head of state and a head of government, the USSR is in fact led by the leader of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the only party authorized between 1925 and 1990. December 8, 1991 , the presidents of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus sign the Minsk Agreement which proclaims the dissolution of the USSR by its founding states.
