Institué en 2006, le titre de « Ville de la gloire militaire » est attribué aux villes russes dont les habitants ont fait preuve de courage et d’héroïsme particuliers pendant la Seconde guerre mondiale.
Tuapse ou Touapsé est une ville du sud Caucase située sur la mer Noire. En raison de son terminal et de ses dépôts pétroliers, la ville est un des objectifs de l’offensive militaire allemande sur le Caucase durant l’été 1942. La ville résiste au prix d’un grand nombre de destructions.
La ville a été décorée par Vladimir Poutine le 5 mai 2008.
Established in 2006, the title of \\\"City of Military Glory\\\" is awarded to Russian cities whose inhabitants demonstrated particular courage and heroism during World War II. Tuapse is a city in the South Caucasus located on the Black Sea. Due to its terminal and oil depots, the city was one of the targets of the German military offensive in the Caucasus during the summer of 1942. The city resisted at the cost of a great deal of destruction. The city was decorated by Vladimir Putin on May 5, 2008.
