Double sol frappé sur un flan assez régulier et décentré au revers. Usures et faiblesses de frappe sur les deux faces. Patine homogène. Hauts reliefs du droit bien venus à la frappe

Commentary


Cette pièce présente un buste de Saint-Jean en contremarque au droit. Ce type peut avoir été contremarqué au moment de l'occupation française (1642-1659). Le Roussillon est définitivement rattaché en 1659 par la Paix des Pyrénées.
This coin features a bust of Saint John as a countermark on the obverse. This type may have been countermarked at the time of the French occupation (1642-1659). Roussillon was definitively annexed in 1659 by the Peace of the Pyrenees
