Médaille décernée à A. LACOMBE en 1952.
Raymond Corbin, né le 23 avril 1907 à Rochefort-sur-Mer (Charente-Maritime), mort le 1er mars 2002, est un graveur médailleur, sculpteur et illustrateur français. Ayant eu Henri Dropsy comme professeur aux Beaux-Arts, il lui succède comme professeur de gravure en médaille en 1955. Il est également élu à son siège de l'Académie des beaux-arts en 1970.

FOURTH REPUBLIC

(16/01/1947-8/01/1959)

Characterized by a parliamentary system coupled with a large ministerial instability, the Fourth Republic has the distinction of never having been officially proclaimed. Indeed, De Gaulle, on his arrival in Paris August 25, 1944, refused to do so on the pretext that the Republic had never ceased to exist. Whereas the French State Marshal Petain was a simple situation, he believes that the Republic has survived in France and free his birth must be 18 June 1940. However, his departure, January 20, 1946 and the referendum of 13 October 1946 approving a new constitution, marked the official beginning of the republic. She knows two presidents: Vincent Auriol (01.16.1947 - 23.12.1953) and René Coty (12/23/1953 - 01/08/1959). Open crisis caused by the revolt of the army leads Algeria, in 1958, his fall is confirmed by the adoption of a new constitution September 28, 1958.
