Exemplaire sur un flan irrégulier et ovale, fortement échancré au revers à 6 heures. Beau portrait. Frappe molle et usure importante au revers. Patine marron foncé

Pupien is proclaimed emperor at the same time as Balbin. After Maximin's death, he returned to Rome. A certain discord settles between the two co-emperors. According to the new chronology set up by A. Chastagnol and M. Christol, they are finally both assassinated by the Praetorians between the end of April and the beginning of May.
