Joan of Naples (1326-1382) succeeded his grandfather in 1343. She is Queen of Naples, Countess of Provence and Forcalquier, Queen holds Jerusalem and Sicily. She was first married to Andrew, Duke of Calabria, who was assassinated in 1345, then with Louis of Taranto, who died in 1362, followed by Jacques III, King of Majorca who died in 1375, and finally with Otto of Brunswick, who died in 1399. She died assassinated in 1382, leaving the county of Provence to Louis I of Anjou, son of John II. In Naples, Charles III, great-grand-son of Charles II, who succeeded him before being assassinated in 1386.
