Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier avec les grènetis visibles. Portrait de joli style. Beau revers bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine grise avec des reflets dorés

Reverse description : Mars casqué et nu , le manteau flottant, marchant à droite, tenant une haste transversale pointée vers le haut de la main droite et un trophée posé sur son épaule gauche de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Pontifex Maximus Tribunicia Potestate quartum Consul tertium Pater Patriæ”, (Grand pontife, revêtu de la quatrième puissance tribunitienne, consul pour la troisième fois, père de la patrie).
Commentary
Poids très lourd. Avec l’intégralité de son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum.

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
