Commentary

Alphonse Ier (1109-1185) est comte puis premier roi du Portugal à partir de 1139 jusqu’à sa mort. Sa victoire contre les Maures à la Bataille d’Ourique et la rencontre d’Arcos de Valdevez permettent d’imposer la création du Royaume du Portugal.
Alfonso I (1109-1185) was Count and then first King of Portugal from 1139 until his death. His victory against the Moors at the Battle of Ourique and the meeting at Arcos de Valdevez allowed the creation of the Kingdom of Portugal to be imposed.
