Cette monnaie commémore le 90e anniversaire de la bataille de Varsovie. Cette bataille opposent troupes Polonais et Russes dans la cadre de la Guerre Russo-polonaise de 1919-1920. En août 1920, l’Armée Rouge a le dessus sur l’armée polonaise qui recule et forme une ligne de défense sur la Vistule. Alors, grâce à des offensives audacieuses, les armées commandées par Joseph Pilsudski parviennent à disloquer et battre les troupes soviétiques de Mikhaïl Toukhatchevski. This coin commemorates the 90th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw. This battle pitted Polish and Russian troops against each other as part of the Russo-Polish War of 1919-1920. In August 1920, the Red Army gained the upper hand over the retreating Polish army, which formed a defensive line on the Vistula River. Through daring offensives, the armies commanded by Joseph Pilsudski managed to dislocate and defeat Mikhail Tukhachevsky's Soviet troops. Lenin's plan to extend the Bolshevik Revolution to Europe was shattered.
