Cet exemplaire est certainement inspiré par le rare bronze BN 4298, représenté par les n°426 et 427 du présent catalogue, Lyon 658 et Zürich 703. Le Muret Chabouillet décrit le cheval comme ayant les parties sexuelles particulièrement développées (cf. MONNAIES XV n°426), alors qu’elles sont confondues avec une des jambes arrière pour former ce qui peut être interprété comme un temple (cf. MONNAIES XV n°427) qui se retrouve amplifié sur cet exemplaire où l’on ne devine même plus l’existence de la patte arrière. La tête du cheval au revers n’est pas sans rappeler celle du lion sur les bronzes bellovaques, MONNAIES XV, n° 1061.

Le Muret Chabouillet describes the horse as having particularly developed sexual parts (cf. COINS XV no. 426), while they are confused with one of the rear legs to form what can be interpreted as a temple (cf. COINS XV no. 427) which is amplified on this example where we can no longer even guess the existence of the rear leg. The head of the horse on the reverse is reminiscent of that of the lion on the Bellovaque bronzes, COINS XV, no. 1061
