Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais, ovale et irrégulier. Très beau portrait. Petite faiblesse de frappe sur la tête de la Providence. Jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets mordorés

Born in 126, Pertinax had a brilliant military and senatorial career. He was Prefect of the City at the time of the assassination of Commodus. Appointed emperor on January 1, 193, his reforms displeased the Praetorians in particular. He was killed on March 28 after a reign of 86 days..
