Guillaume III, né le 19 février 1817 à Bruxelles et mort à Apeldoorn le 23 novembre 1890, est roi des Pays-Bas et grand-duc de Luxembourg du 17 mars 1849 au 23 novembre 1890. Fils de Guillaume II des Pays-Bas et d'Anna Pavlovna de Russie, il est le neveu du tsar Nicolas Ier de Russie.
La Rembrandtplein (Place Rembrandt en néerlandais) est une place du centre d'Amsterdam, capitale des Pays-Bas. Elle est située dans le prolongement de la Reguliersbreestraat et de l'Amstelstraat, à proximité des rives de l'Amstel et du Singel, et se trouve également au nord de l'Utrechtsestraat, l'une des principales rues commerçantes de la ville. Elle concentre plusieurs établissements importants de la vie nocturne amstellodamoise, ainsi que de nombreux restaurants et commerces qui en font l'une des places les plus animées d'Amsterdam.

Guillaume III (1817-1890) is the son of Guillaume II and Anne of Russia. He succeeded his father in 1849. In his first marriage, he married Sophie de Wurttemberg (1818-1877) in 1839, who had given him three sons, who died before their father. He married in 1879 Emma de Waldeck (1858-1934) who gave him Wilhelmine in 1880 who succeeded her father in 1890.
