Exemplaire sur un flan ovale et irrégulier, bien centré des deux côtés avec le grènetis visible au droit. Très beau portrait. Revers fortement stylisé. Recouvert d’une belle patine gris foncé avec des reflets métalliques dorés.

Osroes II seems to be a usurper who seized Iranian provinces at the end of the controversial reign of Vologèse IV (147-191). The typology of its coinage is quite close to that of the official monarch. It is possible that he kept power at the beginning of the reign of Vologesis V (191-208).
