Reverse description : Pudicitia (la Pudeur) voilée et drapée assise à gauche, tenant son voile de la main droite et un sceptre transversal de la main gauche.

Reverse translation : “Pudicitia Augustæ”, (La Pudeur de l'augusta).

Commentary

Poids léger. Dans le Cohen, les auteurs (Feuardent Frères) signalaient en 1885 qu'un sesterce d'Otacilia Sévéra de ce type, avec une magnifique patine bleue, avait été adjugé 350 francs or à Paris, dans une vente publique soit la cote d’un médaillon d’or à l’époque.
Lightweight. In the Cohen, the authors (Feuardent Frères) reported in 1885 that an Otacilia Sévéra sesterce of this type, with a magnificent blue patina, had been sold for 350 gold francs in Paris, in a public sale, i.e. the price of a gold medallion at the time
