Exemplaire sur un petit flan bien centré des deux côtés, court sur les légendes à l’usure régulière. Beaux bustes de Néron et de Poppée. Patine de collection ancienne

NÉRON and Poppea

Poppea was married to Otto when she became the mistress of Nero. The husband was sent as governor in Lusitania and Nero got rid of Octavia, his wife, the daughter of Claude and Messalina order to marry Poppea with. His new wife bore him a daughter, Claudia, but died four months after his birth in 63. Again pregnant Poppea was killed by her husband who had given him a kick in the stomach by Suetonius.
