NERO and AUGUSTUS
Nero is the last descendant of the Julio-Claudian gens. Through his mother, he is the great great grandson of Auguste and through his father, he belongs to the gens Domitia (branch of the Ahenobarbi). Nero poses as successor to Augustus.
