Cette série est intitullée “Niños Heroes” (enfants héros) du nom des cadets qui se battirent jusqu'à la mort plutôt que de se rendre en 1847 à la bataille de Chapultepec lors de l’invasion américaine du Mexique.
Les trois monnaies ont un coeur en argent (925/1000) et un anneau en bronze aluminium.
