Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier parfaitement centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis complets. Très beau portrait de Maurice Tibère avec un petit coup sur le menton. Revers de style fin, bien venu à la frappe. Très belle patine vert olive

MAURICIUS TIBERIUS

Maurice succeeded his father-in-law Tiberius II. After great victories over the Sassanids, he suffered many setbacks in the Balkans and could not prevent the installation of the Slavs and Avars. A military plot overthrew him in 602. He was assassinated while trying to take refuge with Chosroes II.
