Ce type semble plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux.
This type seems rarer than general works suggest.

Historical background

MAURICIUS TIBERIUS

(08/13/582-11/22/602)

Maurice succeeded his father-in-law Tiberius II. After great victories over the Sassanids, he suffered many setbacks in the Balkans and could not prevent the installation of the Slavs and Avars. A military plot overthrew him in 602. He was assassinated while trying to take refuge with Chosroes II.
