Commentary

Poids très léger. L’ouvrage de Pierre Bastien sur le monnayage de Magnence ne recensait que trois exemplaires de ce type. Depuis, Philippe Ferrando, avec son ouvrage sur l’atelier d’Arles, en compte quatorze, ce qui reste tout de même particulièrement rare ! Type que nous présentons pour la première fois à la vente.
Very light weight. Pierre Bastien's work on the coinage of Magnentius listed only three examples of this type. Since then, Philippe Ferrando, with his work on the Arles workshop, has counted fourteen, which remains particularly rare! This type is being offered for sale for the first time.
