Exemplaire sur un flan large, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait d’Héraklès, inhbituel avec le caducée placé devant le visage. Très joli revers de haut relief et de style fin. Magnifique patine vert noir lissée

Au revers, notre combinaison goryte, nom et massue, vu de dessus semble beaucoup moins courante que d’autres arrangements. Nous sommes en présence d’un bronze posthume d’Alexandre III, frappé pour Philippe III à Tarse.

Philip, son of Philip II and the half-brother of Alexander, was not entirely in his right mind. On the death of the conqueror and faced with the lack of power, in order to maintain the fiction of the unity of the Empire, he was proclaimed king, but in fact he had no power. He was assassinated at the instigation of Olympias, Alexander's mother, in 316 BC.
