Satrap of Antiphellos
We have little historical information on these semi-independent princes of Lycia who have set up in the second half of the fifth century. Their mints finally disappear during the second half of the fourth century, the arrival in the region of the satrap of Cilicia, Mazaios. Mithrapata, dynast or satrap of Antiphellos, a town on the Lycian coast between Patara and Aperlai and was wearing Phellos, seems to have preceded Perikles. The workshop Antiphellos minted for both characters. Pericles died in 362 BC After his death, Lycia went into the Persian orbit until the Macedonian conquest.
