Ce demi-écu est frappé sur un flan large et légèrement irrégulier. De petites aspérités de surface sur et à gauche de l’écu du revers. Présence de hairlines

D’après nos recherches inédites en archives ce sont environ 8.512 demi-écus qui ont été mis en circulation en 1678 à Rennes. Le chiffre de mise en boîte est de 26 demi-écus. Nous n’avons retrouvé que deux exemplaires de cette monnaie, dont celui-ci.
