Ce denier est frappé sur un flan large et présentant de hauts reliefs en dépit d’une petite faiblesse de frappe à 2 heures au droit se retrouvant au revers. Le troisième canton ne semble pas présenter d’étoile : on discerne toutefois quelques restes de gravure

Commentary


Adalbéron frappa des deniers à l’effigie de saint Étienne à Metz, Rimling et Bouqemon (atelier de Sarre-Union). Les monnaies de ces deux ateliers sont rares et ne portent pas le nom d’Adalbéron.
Adalbero minted denarii bearing the image of Saint Stephen in Metz, Rimling and Bouqemon (Sarre-Union mint). The coins from these two mints are rare and do not bear the name of Adalbero.

Adalberon's episcopate began in 1104. He was the candidate of Emperor Henry IV. Adalberon was deposed in 1115 at the Council of Reims.
