Coments on the condition:
Flan bien centré des deux côtés. Patine grise. Très joli buste de style fin. Le revers est plus marqué par les traces de circulation mais reste parfaitement lisible

Obverse description : Buste lauré et cuirassé de Licinius Ier à droite drapé sur l’épaule, vu de trois quarts en avant (B*01).
Obverse translation : “Imperator Licinius Augustus”, (L'empereur Licinius auguste).

Reverse legend : GENIO - POP ROM/ T|F// PTR.
Reverse description : Genius (le Génie) nu jusqu’à la ceinture, debout à gauche tourelé, le manteau sur l'épaule gauche, tenant une patère de la main droite et une corne d'abondance de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Genio Populi Romani”, (Au Génie du Peuple romain).
Commentary
Poids lourd. Rubans de type 3. Les lettres T|F dans le champ du revers pourraient se traduire par “Temporum Felicitas”.

LICINIUS I
(11/11/308-09/324)
Licinius I was proclaimed august directly following the conference of Carnuntum, on November 11, 308. In 313, after the rescript of Milan, he married Constantine's half-sister, Constantia. In 316 a first war took place between Licinius and Constantine. It ends with the death of Valens and the signing of a peace between the two augusts. On April 1, 317, three Caesars were created: Crispus, Constantine II and Licinius II. A second war broke out between Constantine and Licinius in 321. It ended with the decisive defeat of Chrysopolis in 324 and the deposition of Licinius, exiled to Thessalonica before being executed the following year..
